Landlord Conversion

The derelict basement of an old print works to the north of Smithfield Market was refurbished for letting. Exposed high-level services spines were installed in each of the three bays. Spines have radiant heating panels and electrical power, with provision for data and mechanical ventilation. Suspended WC pods raised from the floor are positioned in one of the bays.

Markettiers4dc

The new premises have been taken over by a broadcast marketing agency, specialising in radio and on-line campaigns. Markettiers4dc creates live and pre-recorded interview from outside broadcasts and from their own studios. The fit-out of the premises provided the agency not only with with office accommodation, but also studios to record industry spokespeople and celebrities.

Tenant Installation

The fit-out included comfort cooling and mechanical ventilation, neatly coordinated with the services installed under the landlord works. An enclosed meeting room with fully glazed walls and comfort cooling is located at the ground floor reception

Recording

Three recording studios and a sound room were constructed by Markettiers4dc's specialist building contractor. The rooms are sealed and completely isolated acoustically, with cooling and fresh air brought in from outside. Walls are multiple-layer plasterboard with staggered penetrations.
